I was on the design team from schematic design through construction administration.
ChildSafe brings together health professionals, state agencies, law enforcement and legal teams to ensure that more cases are reported and prosecuted, while the survivors get the help they need. Their ultimate goal is to disrupt cycles, and raise a healthier generation who can help to end abuse.
ChildSafe Mission
Our mission is to restore dignity, hope, and trust to children traumatized by abuse and neglect.
As the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Bexar County, we provide expert care and specialized services to children and teenagers who have been traumatized by abuse, neglect, or sexual abuse.
One in four girls and one in six boys in Bexar County will be sexually abused by the time they are 18.
2018 AIA FIlm Challenge
Both architects and filmmakers were invited to participate in this year’s film challenge by telling stories of architects, civic leaders, and their communities working together toward positive community impact. This year’s film submissions covered a variety of topics, including affordable housing, social impact issues, preservation and sustainability.
A film was produced by BL&S about ChildSafe.
The film was awarded 3rd place.
